The Town of Lasalle is one of the fastest growing and evolving areas in all of Windsor-Essex County. The rapid expansion of Lasalle towards South Windsor has made the area a thriving and exciting place to live. So what has fueled this growth and what can one expect living in Lasalle? One thing everyone wants in their hometown is to feel safe. Look no further than Lasalle, Ontario. Consistently considered one of the safest communities in the country and as of the most recent stats released from StatsCanada, the 7th safest community in all of Canada. A community so honest, they were initially ranked #1 as the safest community in all of Canada but upon looking into the numbers realized there was a mistake and reported the error to Stats Canada even though it meant moving down 6 spots to #7. The town also sends out approximately 450 customer satisfaction surveys annually with the police service consistently ranking at 99% with good to excellent ratings in all categories. A strong community means people always looking out for and supporting each other creating an awesome family first community where all are welcome. 


The way Lasalle has grown has created a residential neighbourhood everyone loves at the interior surrounded by two main arteries containing most of the everyday amenities one would need. To the east Malden Road acts as a main artery holding a wide variety of dining, shopping, and other amenities. Coming out of the Todd Lane roundabout, you will find three of the newest additions to Lasalle. All recently built and opened, Starbucks, Home Hardware, LCBO immediately welcome you. As you head up the road you will find another newer addition, a Swiss Chalet/Harvey's joint restaurant. Across the street Malden Square plaza you will find popular restaurants The GOAT and Koi Sushi along with a host of other stores, shops, and services. Acting as a cross street off of Malden Delmar Street separates two more plaza's offering even more amenities like Zehrs, Price Chopper, Crunch Fitness, and Kabobgy. Continue down Malden Road and you will find Joe Schmoe's and LA Town Grill to grab a bite to eat. You'll find Rexall and Shoppers Drugmart for everyday needs. Normandy St. meets Malden Road as a cross street and there you will find civil services such as Lasalle Police, Lasalle Fire and EMS, along with Lasalle Town Hall with a gorgeous outdoor pavilion and the Essex County Library - Lasalle Branch. Heading towards Laurier Parkway you'll find Antonino's and Oven 360. From restaurants to groceries to pharmacy and every day needs, if you're close to Malden Road you are close to most major amenities. 


Looking for some outdoor activities. The Town of Lasalle is filled with green space, parks, and golf courses so there is an outdoor activity for everyone. Lasalle is home to Ojibway Prairie Provincial Nature Reserve and right next to it is Tallgrass Prairie Heritage Park providing trails for walking, cycling, running, and hiking. Heritage Park, Brunet Park, Steve Budimir Park, Front Road Park, and Gil Mauer Park, along with countless other small parks, and jungle gyms sprinkled throughout the area offer green space for all sorts of outdoor activities. Golfers need not worry about options in Lasalle. Home to public courses Seven Lakes Championship Golf and Ambassador Golf Club, along with membership based Essex Golf and Country Club, you can tee off and shoot low in a variety of ways in Lasalle. Located off of Malden Road on Reaume Road you will find Lasalle Turtle Club. Turtle Club is the home of house league and travel baseball for the Town of Lasalle, and has 7 fields for a variety of levels as well as batting cages. Intertwined throughout the area you will find a variety of paths and trails for additional hiking, walking, or running. 


The Town of Lasalle's hallmark facility is the beautiful Vollmer Complex. Accessible off of Malden Road on either Laurier Parkway or Mike Raymond Cr., the Vollmer Complex hosts two ice pads, one of which is the home of the town's Junior B hockey team the Lasalle Vipers. The Vollmer Centre is also home to Skate Lasalle, and Lasalle Minor Hockey. It also has community space as well as an indoor pool and is the home of summer camps for the area. The Vollmer Complex is also home of the Lasalle Stompers Soccer Club with a multitude of fields located on Mike Raymond Cr. Also on site is the Vollmer Complex Skate Park, the Vollmer Complex Splash Pad, and 8 baseball/softball diamonds. The Vollmer Complex is an amazing community hub for the Town of Lasalle and its residents.  


Bordering the other side of Lasalle and along the waterfront is Front Road, the other main artery that runs through Lasalle. While it does not have as many amenities as Malden Road, it makes up for it with beautiful scenery, green space, and some smaller local places like Capri Pizza and Beach Walk Family Fitness. The aforementioned Gil Maure Park and Front Road Park provide an amazing area to walk and get outdoors. You can launch boats and jet skis from Lasalle Marina located right on site. Gil Maure park is also home of the annual Lasalle Strawberry Fest and awesome festival of food, fun, rides, and more. 


At last census, the Town of Lasalle was made up of 30,180 residents. Lasalle comprises 10,793 private dwellings, 99% of which are occupied by the usual residents. 66.4% of the residents fall in the 15-64 age range and the average age of a resident is 40 years old. Made up of mostly single-detached homes (85.5%) with an average household size of 2.8 people. With the mix of amenities, green space, residential living, and based on the demographics, Lasalle is a place with lots of young and growing families but also a great place for retirees to call home.
