At the time of writing this it is snowing outside, in late April, but ignoring that, the warmer weather is here (we swear), and with that brings more homes and more buyers to the Windsor real estate market as we head into May and the busy season. If you are someone who’s been thinking about selling, now is a great time. As we get May and head towards summer more and more potential buyers are entering the market and looking for homes for sale in Windsor, Ontario. Why is that ? We asked some of our own Jumpers (our Windsor REALTOR®’s) why they think this time of the year is great to sell and here is an overview of their thoughts.

Settling In For Summer
- After a long winter, one with all of us stuck in our houses due to COVID-19 and restrictions, buyers who missed out last season or new buyers are eager to find the right home for them and settle in for the summer. It is easier and safer to make a spring move than a winter move.
Spring Fever
- Spring brings reinvigorated buyers and motivated sellers to the forefront of the market. Our agents say it is the most active time of the year with the most buyers, so if you’re looking to sell, price your home right and you’ll be well on your way.
Don’t Hesitate
- It isn’t just busy for us here at Jump Realty, it’s busy for every agent and brokerage in the area. That is why if you are thinking of listing, it is best to make that decision early in the spring and get a jump on the competition (pun fully intended). The less houses on the market the better for you as a seller, as more buyers are likely to be interested in your home.
The Move
- Families, especially those with school aged children, will want to move by early to mid-summer in order to settle into their new home, possibly new school district, and meet new people all before the back-to-school rush of last August. If your home closes during these prime summer months, it instantly becomes attractive to families looking for homes for sale in Windsor.
