Are you looking for something to do this weekend? Be sure to check out the Town of Amherstburg’s Open Air Weekends, now until September 27th, 2021. Every Friday night from 3:00pm to 11:00pm and Saturday from 3:00pm until 11:00pm on Sunday Downtown Amherstburg streets are open for visitors to enjoy all the businesses Amherstburg has to offer such as outdoor patios, cafes, and sidewalk retail. Check out the map below to find out which streets are closed during these hours and where you can park including bike parking!

There will also be activities in King’s Navy Yard Park every weekend to check out and take part in:

Sunday’s from 10-11am there will be free yoga (Limit of 25 people per regulations). Bring your yoga mat and do some outdoor yoga near the water.
Local Artists Dylan and Dennis White will be painting a mural on the exterior walls of the Privy building this summer. Be sure to stop by periodically to check out the progress.
From 4:00 to 5:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays there will be live music performed under the gazebo. Pick a physically distanced circle, bring your lawn chair or blanket, and enjoy the music.

Get out this summer and enjoy some food and drink from amazing local restaurants and cafes right on Sandwich Street in downtown Amherstburg, enjoy the views of Lake Erie from King’s Navy Yard Park, and most importantly, support local!
