Chrysler Building: St. Clair College One Riverside Campus

Yesterday we looked at the University of Windsor moving into the old Windsor Star building in Downtown Windsor. The other Windsor post-secondary institution, St. Clair College has also grown leaps and bounds and needed additional space for classrooms, resources, and other student amenities. Like the University, they selected Downtown Windsor and chose to also find space in another iconic Windsor building.

Located at the corner of Ouellette Ave and Riverside Drive is the Canadian headquarters for Chrysler Canada. Housed in a modern building among some of the historic ones remaining in the downtown core, this imposing building on the shores of the Detroit River is the home of Chrysler’s Canadian operations. They have some neighbours in the building though including The Keg and IG Investments. St. Clair College also chose this location for their downtown campus expansion. They now call the first floor of this iconic building home to a variety of programs and call it their One Riverside Campus. A state of the art area for students to study and learn, it adds another piece to their Downtown campus that is also home to the MediaPlex. This foundational building of downtown Windsor, now has a foundational education institution of Windsor calling it home.
