A local favourite event is back for summer 2024. Amherstburg Open Air Weekends are officially returning with a new feature this year, check out the details below.
As in years past, Open Air Weekends in Amherstburg will see road closures starting Friday at 3:00pm and running until 8:00pm on Sunday. This year Open Air Weekends run from May 31 to September 1, 2024.
Food lovers can enjoy their favourite craft beer, popcorn, coffee, ice cream, and other favourites on the expanded patios. Shoppers can also check out local businesses for clothes, accessories, home decor, jewelry, shoes, candles, and more as stores upon up their storefronts into the streets. Don't forget all of this takes place right in front of King’s Navy Yard Park, an amazing space to enjoy those treats or take-out meals.
New this year are Friday Night Markets. From 5:00pm to 9:00pm on Friday nights you can find local vendors in the streets. Night markets start on Friday, May 31 and will run until Friday, August 30.
