Bright Lights Windsor isn't the only holiday lights event retunring to Windsor-Essex County. Amherstburg's River Lights Winter Festival is already underway on the shores of the Detroit River.
Every night until January 4, 2026, hundreds of customized LED light displays light up Amherstburg's two main parks. First, at King’s Navy Yard Park, located at 242 Dalhousie Street, will feature traditional displays that showcase the holiday season with displays such as carolers, angels, soldiers and more. You can also visit Toddy Jones Park, located at 50 North Street, to see more whimsical and playful holiday displays for kids to enjoy.
This year until December 21st you can visit the Walker Gingerbread Warming House on weekend nights from 5:30pm-8:30pm where kids can do crafts and enjoy hot chocolate courtesy of Tim Hortons. Sunday evenings a 6:00pm will also feature story time with Santa Claus in the Warming House.
Finally, retunring for 2025 is the Santa Shout Out. On December 12th from 6pm until 8pm next to the Gordon House at 266 Dalhousie Street Santa will be in his snow globe to talk to all the kids about their Christmas wishes. His secret elves will be wearing headlamp toques and collect the necessary info from parents, no registration is required.
